Demo Open Badge

Get a temporary Open Badge to explore how they work

The easiest way to find out how Open Badges work and understand their potential for recognising learning is to see one in action. Enter a name and email address into the form below to generate a demonstration Open Badge valid for 60 days. You can download this badge and add it to a backpack service like Cred.Scot.

Badge format
Choose 2.1 if your backpack or wallet doesn't support 3.0 credentials yet.

You'll be taken to an award page for your badge once you submit the form. You'll be able to download the badge, share a link to it or download a PDF certificate. The page will include example criteria, example evidence and explain some common terminology associated with badges.

How your data is stored and used

The data for these demonstration badges is hosted on servers based within the United Kingdom. It is only used to provide the demo badge and not for any other purpose.

We store the name and email address you provide. Your email address is not stored in a readable plain text format. For the provision of the demo badge only a one-way hash of your email address needs to be stored.

All data is automatically deleted after 60 days but may be retained within database backups for a further 30 days.
